- Water efficient fixtures

## Benefits

- Vegetation at perimeter reduces urban heat island effect
- Rooms are situated at corners and open spaces are situated to induce influx of outdoor air and promote air exchange within and in between floors
- Sufficient daylight from windows eliminates need to use of artificial light during daytime 
- Ceiling fans w/ lamps promote air movement and make air conditioning a necessity only during extremely warm and humid conditions
- Energy efficient lamps and appliances, solar pv w/ net metering, and water efficient fixtures result in reduced electric and water bills
